Mayor – Tempio

Ceramica Mayor Sa Is a leader in manufacturing extruded materials with a long tradition in the production of paving and special pieces in both natural and glazed finishes. The company was founded in the 20th century by Fernando Mayor Boluda and today is managed by the Mayor brothers.

Since its inception Ceramica Mayor SA has remained true to its values, beliefs and customs, transmitting them from generation to generation and applying them in all their possible forms of expression.

• UNSW Bio Science Building

  Located at the Kensington campus in Botany Street, Randwick, the project comprises a total of 21,339 square metres and includes the new nine level Bioscience Building which complements the surrounding buildings. Designed by Woods Bagot, the building also features a new atrium and upgrade of the surrounding landscape.

• Hamilton

  These offices built in white have large windows to let the light through and have an FK ventilated facade. The facade provides the building with a protective layer making it thermally and acoustically efficient. Located in an area of industrial premises, the building outstands for its plainness and straight lines.

• St. John School

  Newly built school, located in New Zealand. It perfectly combines the natural red colour ventilated facade with large windows that fill the classrooms with light. The decision of using ceramic on this building provides a significant increase in the thermal and acoustic comfort. It also favours the passing of water, gas and electricity pipelines, an important detail when there are children around.

• UNSW-Tyree Energy Building Sydney Australia

  Works were carried out for more than one year to develop the special pieces for the University of Sydney. Oval sunscreens of 300 were created for the windows in the cafeteria area and another type of straight sunscreens were designed for the classroom areas. It is an impressive building, both for its star-shape plan and for its single-colour facade that has conferred it a great richness and volumetric, combining flat pieces and ceramic sunscreen tiles.

• Silver Top Taxi’s Melbourne

  This rehabilitation project of the Taxi’s main offices is a clear example of the convenience and advantages of using a ventilated facade for this purpose. The premises have significantly revalued, there is almost no debris in the refurbishment because it can be applied over the underlying structure and provides significant energy expenditure savings for the future.

  The gray facade was decorated with elements with the brand’s corporate colours, conferring the building a fun and modern touch.

• Incheon Asian Games Polo Stadium

  This impressive polo stadium created for the Incheon Asian Games, and surrounded by flowers and gardens is covered by natural ceramic material, to adapt gently to the environment.
  It is a geometric building that contributes a touch of grace with the different forms of the ceramic pieces that cover it. Tempio created 4 different types of plates with protrusions at different levels, to be able to create the singular carved relief.

  Given the location and the environment of the project, from the beginning the architects were clear about the need to create a sustainable building, basic principles of energy-saving, eco-friendly materials and natural visual aesthetics. That’s why they chose to use the ceramic ventilated facade. For the advantages of using this system and for the nobility of the ceramic material.

  The building also has an area with solar panels to supply the energy required for its operation.

• Korea D Tower

  La D Tower in Korea is a modern office building, located in the capital. The architects envisioned this as a construction set in which cubes are placed one on top of the other to make it higher.

  The singularity of these cubes is that they have rounded corners, for which special ceramic pieces were made to join the edges of those maxi cubes.

• Korea D Tower

  A project was awarded in 2006 to build 619 social housings in an area known as Pradaviejo, in the city of Logroño, to the Japanese architect Toyo Ito.
  Tempio was in charge of covering this emblematic building. The architect had in mind a piece of a specific colour and with a specific relief with waves. Many companies of the sector presented pieces for the project, although given the characteristics of our ceramic tiles and the excellent application of the vision of the piece to the reality of such, made the architect choose the Tempio facade.

• Chalet Boadilla

  Detached house located in Boadilla del Monte. The owners decided to install a ventilated facade because of the saving of energy of this system. The distribution and size of the pieces were highly considered for this project, as due to its shape, it had many endings and offcuts of pieces.
